Birdie has been an accountant for almost four decades, and more than half of that time was with Kelcas. A truly inexpendable team member, she handles accounts receivable, accounts payable, and all city, state, and federal filings. Birdie also serves as our office manager, managing permit applications and regulatory filings with states and the EPA.
Hailing from Pine Bluff, Arkansas, she obtained a degree in accounting from Phillips College in Louisville, Kentucky.
Birdie has been married to JP Simms, a pastor, for more than fifty years. They have three sons, one daughter, and fifteen grandchildren. Birdie and JP are actively involved in church activities. In her free time, Birdie loves to travel, sew, crochet, and read.
